Well, I read through this thread, and I have a few comments and suggestions...

1. How about racing your car naked? How much do your clothes weigh? I'm sure you could lose 4 or 5 pounds easily. Jeans are heavy.

2. And remember, take a good **** in the morning. Anything helps. 1/2 pound there, at least!

But my favortite... There are far too many mcdonald's-eating, fat-ass american kids with big floppy man-**** who squeeze themselves into sport compacts and then ask questions about whether to put ice on their engines... you know, 'cause every bit helps! Time to lose weight fatties!!!!

ice cooling the intercooler

I have built a car with an ice bath in the intercooler circuit. You take hose to the intor cooler fill tube and route to an ice box and then back to the intercooler circuit. The ice box I built was made from welded aluminum diamond plate and used stainless steel flexible 3/4" dryer gas line from Sears as a coil inside the box to keep the intercooler coolant seperate from the ice. Fill the box with ice and go racing. It is good for about 20 - 25 HP.
