does Pacesetter header alter exhaust tone?

i ordered one today.

will just a pacesetter header change the tone of my stock exhaust? i hope not - but if so, how much of a difference does it make?

adding a header or dp to the system off of the stock one will make the system alittle deeper and alittle louder but other than that no...

so i guess the answer is yes

I just ordered the Clear Image Auto Header/DP in the GB and I am hoping it wont change the exhaust note either....I am guessing it wont make too much of a difference. There are some clips on youtube with the stock catback with the zzpheader/DP. Doesnt sound too much different than stock

i would assume that the dp w/ the high-flow cat is what makes the bigger difference in the sound there compared to a header...could be wrong tho

yes, it will. and you'll need either a custom downpipe or to cut/weld you stock one.

ya, i knew that the shop would need to modify the stock downpipe...but what will it sound like after install (if stock cat is kept as well)? .... will it sound more agressive, or just droney/grainy?

UPDATE-----------UPDATE--------------UPDATE

just for future reference for anyone else wondering- yes the pacesetter DOES ALTER EXHAUST NOTE...makes it sound more quiet than stock somehow, yet more agressive...especially when giving it a lil shot of gas at idle....the high note sounds nice.

i fixed the leak at the balljoint connecting my header/collector to my downpipe ...but came back a day later...im going to try to put a donut gasket in between the two connecting pieces, then crack it down....lets see what happens...

BUT for the time that there was no leaks, there was a HUGE torque difference...felt so good...wanna get that back...need to get rid of the leak lol
