Ok heres my issue..since I got my stage2 installed I have had a CEL. P0172 (?) running rich bank 1... ok I looked it up says its the MAF sensor.. I cleared the code.. came back 2 days later. left it this time and now its gone...

Now to my dilema... I purposly let it bounce of the rev limiter today on a straight away by work. it bucked at 6500 RPM... shouldnt it not have done that till 7K? least thats my understanding... Now I got all my stock parts back but I forgot to get the book with the Flash Code on it... am I screwed if they didnt do the flash? would I be able to get the flash done with out the code if they indeed didnt do it? The car does feel strong and does get up to speed real quick. so im happy in that aspect.. just concerned.. I dont want to blow anythign up.. thank you all for your help in advance...

 

If you paid for a flash, they owe you a flash. Plain and simple.

There's no reason to go any further; if you're not able to go above 6500 then you don't have the flash. But, if you must check for reassurance you can see if you are making approx. 15psi of boost at WOT instead of the usual 12.5psi.

ya dont drive your car hard anymore until you take it to the dealership and demand a flash.

 

Yeah like I said, you don't need any more proof. Just take it in.

 

I'd imagine you'd also be running rough/rich....just like your code tells you.

 

Checked the Boost this AM and it only got just past 12...
Cant believe that they didnt do the flash.
This is gonna be fun trying to get this done now.

 

I called my dealership and told them I dont think the flash was done.
They put the guy on the phone who did it.."Im the one who did the work on your car. I know I did the computer flash, cuz I did it myself. If not you'd have a CEL. I stopped him there and said you mean P0172 Running Rich Bank1... he was like ummmmm yeah that one..... Its going in Wednesday the 6th for the flash.

 

Lol, what an ass-rag....Yeah they know everything about flashing the PCM blah blah.....glad to hear it's getting redone. As long as they called the number in, he can download your flash from GM using your VIN - any dealer can.
