Broken flexpipe. You just need to replace it or get an aftermarket downpipe. I have the CTI and like it.

Yea you can get a new one welded on. Probably the cheapest route depending on where you get it done. I would probably just get an aftermarket downpipe with a high flow cat. Your cat probably will go next anyways lol.

A local exhaust shop should be able to cut the stock flex section out and replace it with a new one. That would be the least expensive way to go. If they can not find one, we do offer them separately.

Next would be to replace the down-pipe. We offer a stock replacement.

or go with a mid-length header and down-pipe.

here's our header:

Give us a call if we can help: (425)251-0329.

Good luck with everything.

if you don't want to spend money chevy will replace that downpipe for free under warranty that downpipe is covered up to 80,000 miles i believe. i just got mine done this past winter might as well get a new one from the dealer.

im really debating with my self if i should just go ahead and get a header and downpipe i have always planed on getting them just gives me an excuse to do it earlier so i might just go ahead and replace them and the viberant hearder and down pipe are on sale with TTR right now and im really thinking i should do that what do you think?

get a new downpipe from g.m under warranty that way you have a new one to keep or sell later and still get your aftermarket header and downpipe too. i'd rather have a new downpipe sitting around instead of a broke one that way if you want to sell it later you'll have no problem of getting rid of it. just my 2 cents on the whole thing.

A good fix to those who do not want an aftermarket downpipe would be to get TTR's upper engine mount and poly bushings... They crack because the engine moves a lot. Poly's will stop this...

they break . If you want a really really cheap solution i can sell you a new stock oem flex with plate and a short 7 inch run of tube flared to fit onto stock tubing for repair, 30 bucks ... OTTP mounts will stop the issue its hop that does it mostly..clear image do a nice header if you want to spend the bucks and get rid of the oem flex...

Isn't the vibrant pretty high. I'd either go with clear image or with the ZZP combo.

Get it with high flow cat and in stainless steel

the zzp one is 500 after you make everything stainless

i just got done look at all my options and the CI header and downpipe would be more $$ then the vibrant combo and the zzp is only 80 bucks less then the vibrant so looks like ill be spending at least 500 im really wanting the stainless steal one no matter who i go with so what should i get? i plan on getting 1 3/4" primary tubes a catless downpipe and i want a 3'' downpipe with a 2.5 exit since i have a magna flow catback system now i need inputs and the vibrant downpipe is only in 2.5 i think

+1 Clear Image. I have their 3" header / catless DP / catback exhaust and it sounds amazing. Friends I've rode with have commented how clean it sounds compared to other exhausts they've heard (Vibrant / GMPP).

I think Dan is still trying to push some of the Stainless 1.75->3" header/DP combos on here, look in the group buy section. It is a little more expensive than some others but it's VERY worth it. ZZP you have to worry about flange leaks, I haven't had a single problem with mine.
