downpipe and o2 sensor question

Hey all, quick question. Just installed a new header and 3" downpipe...exhaust is going on tomorrow. There is 2 sensors going into the downpipe, the way forward is the wideband im guessing and the on rear is the stock o2 sensor, correct? The issue im having is either that sensor is so seized on it will not come out or its welded in for some reason. So im either going to drive without it or im going to order a new one from the dealership. I started the car up without that sensor and the exhaust. No cel and the wideband was reading normal. But there is still the hole in the dp....if i drive without that sensor will it cause any issues?

Stock there are two sensors. One in the manifold and one after the cat. The one after the cat measures the efficiency of the catalytic converter and throws a cel if it is not working correctly. I believe the front sensor is for the fueling. Your car will drive fine but will throw a cel without that rear sensor. I put a wideband in right after the manifold so I have 3 sensors!

the one in the manifold is there, the wideband is in the first hole in the downpipe but the sensor for the one in the back after the cat is disconnected....i had the car runniing at idle for 10mins....no cel, wideband was running normal also. The hole where the sensor should be...will that cause any issues with it not being filled? This is only temp until i can get a new sensor orderd...just wanna know if it will cause any damage. I dont care about the cel code, as long as its not causing damage.

You have bigger issues if you can't get it out. I just installed a SC kit on my 2009 Pontiac G5 GT and with 4500 miles on it the rear o2 sensor was seized in there. I added the LSJ downpipe and there is no way to get the sensor out of there without ruining it.

Yes, but it also ruins the pipe. You either have to leave the sensor in the pipe and if the sensor is bad then the pipe is finished, because any method of trying to get out the sensor is going to ruin the threads.
