Downpipe to rear-section exhaust problem.

Hi all, I recently purchased a ZZP downpipe for my dad and during the install I have run into a problem.

Being originally a northern car, the nuts that hold the downpipe to the "cat-back" were frozen into place. Rust and heat combined had done a number and made the job a pain to remove.

Anyways, I was wanting to know if the studs/bolts/whatever are made INTO the exhaust rear-section? I have hit them with a hammer multiple times to no avail and after using the grinder I still have had no luck? Am I going to have to buy a drill bit and hull them out or what? Are the stock studs welded into place and am I simply jousting at windmills?

Thanks.

They are pressed in like a wheel stud. I was able to hit mine out with a hammer but my car has never seen snow. Spray some rust buster and let sit a half hour. Hit it as hard as you can with a hammer.
