when i had my 06 civic si... i treated it bad. lol. one day it was like -10 out and it was all icy, i didnt feel like waiting so i started it up and pretty much redlined all over the ice for fun. id never do that with my balt tho, idt my LNF would hold up to that.

 

You really shouldnt be stomping on it at all until it is warmed up

 

I set my annunciators for my interceptors to come on when Coolant temp is below 70. I normaly let my car idle a few minutes before driving. I start, back out of garage. Stop in drive way, let it warm up while bucking seat belt and closeing garage door. Then its normaly good to go. If its cold or something ill wait longer.

 

I normally don't. What I was saying is that if you give the car a halfway decent amount of gas before it's completely warmed up it falls on it's face......I've never had a car do this before, and I've owned plenty of them. I'm not going to sit there for 15-20 minutes waiting for it to warm up. I normally just take it easy until I get down the road a ways, and then drive normally.

 

I definitely dont let it completely warm up, but i dont treat it like crap either. Keep the shifts normal, 3000-3500K, no WOT runs until its warm. Thats how i've treated all my cars.

 

WOT in cold ass weather isn't good for a car no matter what to be honest. Doesn't matter if the car is totally warmed up or not. Cars weren't meant to be beat on in 25°F weather.
