Dual pass with option b? Or without?

Hey guys I have the dual pass endplate waiting to be installed and was wondering if I should go ahead and get option b? Or will it make that much of a difference? What will the option b do that the dual pass by itself won't do? Help appreciated! Thanks!

yeah it helps more.

You hold more coolant obviously with the extra surge tank so the car will run a little cooler

Lots of threads on this >>> But the dual pass with option B gives more fluid than without & It self bleeds air when it is created by running the car hard!

I may be the only "free thinker" on this site in regards to this subject. I run GMPP Stage 3 with the dual pass endplate and Option A.

GMPP states: "The second surge tank is for the aftercooler. Without it, it is very difficult to purge the air from the system. Using the additional surge tank ensures a fully purged system with no trapped air. This higher pressure system will provide an added level of efficiency for the intercooler system."

I love the stock OEM look of my underhood and had no issues bleeding or purging the air from the system. I made the decison to try Option A and have no regrets. My bleed procedure is shown in this post: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-0l-lsj-performance-tech-47/gmpp-stage-3-n2o-56k-warning-77484/

Anyone know what the dealerships should be charging to install the dual pass plus option b? The dealership quoted me $350 to $400 to install it.

It appears that some of you have not focused on the main point of my post. According to GM the only advantage of Option B is less diffucilty in purging air and that there is no claimed performance increase of using Option B over Option A.

I think the issue is that if you do not get the air out, then option a wont deliver the performance...and its highly likely that any modifications to the aftercooler system that do not include replacing the pathetic little stock OEM reservoir will be doomed to failure, because you cant usually get all the air out...but then also when i suggest an airlift tool for leak checking/filling for 125 bucks i get laughed out of town...so usual disclaimers
