Yeah. That gay **** stuff is nasty! jk

I don't think you have. I pretty much have to go back to a stock exhaust. WI is coming down hard on people with loud exhausts. And they love to pull over anything with a hint of rice.

So I could go with your insert and this VT muffler but I still can't risk it. But I might get a cut-out when I really need to open it up.

Incorrect look up on evolutionm.net they have a whole thread about this muffler and have dyno sheets to prove that it does not rob power at all or change turbo spool it actually improved it. This will be the muffler I'm going with when I go 3" exhaust.

Got a link? The only way this muffler could reduce spool time is if it flowed better, which doesn't even make ******* sense unless they were upgrading from stock.

Again, it doesn't make sense that this would cause no problems under WOT from an airflow standpoint. This muffler is a valve. Valves open under a certain pressure. Therefore, there must be a certain amount of pressure in your exhaust before the valve will open.

Just make sure you get the new style one without the rattling valve dynomax had a recall on them and it was fixed. There is a lot of good info in this thread

Hmm, everyone who wasn't cammed seems to be having good experience with it. I may try the under 4.0L one just to see how it sounds and ensure it doesn't cause a lot of backpressure at WOT.

The super turbo works great too. even sounds good with catless. a tad raspy but not loud raspy at all.

catted 3" sounds quiter than stock but the muffler flows upwards of 700cfm

They were talking about the backpressure and they said even a 700 hp car would not have back pressure problems

i hate how loud my 3in is without the silencer in the muffler. i wish i would have known about this muffler when i installed my kit. does it come with a center in center out configuration? thats what i would need. i would love to hear a video of this on our cars. i have a header, catless dp, 18in magnaflow resonator, and a universal muffler. and its LOUD!! like i said, if it sounds good on video and if you all have good luck with it, i might switch to this eventually.

I have the stock muffler and resonator on my car, and I still think it's too noisy when on the throttle. Only thing I can think of is I have 2.5" piping going into the stock 2.25" muffler, so maybe the increased velocity is causing the sound to go through the muffler faster than normal and thus more noise.

I dunno captain smartass, but I didn't see anyone complaining anywhere in this thread. But maybe you see something the rest of us don't. And as for my situation, a turbo is the plan actually and stock exhaust while quiet, doesn't flow well enough for my needs. So if you dont have something constructive to say about the topic at hand then maybe you should keep your thoughts and opinions to yourself from now on. Thanks.

Well my first impression is so/so. For the record I went from a FLO-PRO straight through muff to this. It is most deff quieter on the highway but to say it is drone free is BS. It cut the drone in half which is an improvement for sure, now I can have a convo without yelling. However at idle outside the car I can hear the flapper rattle which is gay, it stops as soon as I start driving. I got the 4L and up muffler which could be why. The exhaust note sounds OK while cruzin around though.

Or if you got one that wasn't recalled there was a recall on this muffler for that specific problem the valve was causing a lot of noise. Dynomax will send you a new one or whoever you bought it from should send you the new model

I've got the under 4.0L version on the way.. I spoke with tech help Dennis at dynomax.. He assured me i wanted the under 4.0L version.. and that it would not sound like a loud honda... I assured him that if it did, i would hunt him down..

Updates to come.. =D
