I am not familiar with the ebay intake, but i would say ditch it and get a quality intake.

when you go cheap, most of the times you're sacrificing quality. honestly, i would either just ride it out till it wears through, which will probably happen, or get one from a more reputable company.

but, what specifically are you worried about with teh fitment. is it rubbing somewhere?

Dude it doesnt rub, just really cant get it to mount up to the post in the fenderwell there. I have it on and it fits/works fine, just a little worried about not screwing it down in the fenderwell/ thats all. Other then that my neighbor has the injen and was pissed that I only paid 66 bones for this thing! really it is of the same quality, and I can remember that the fujita AKA on of the most expensive intakes you can purchase fits like ****! and really unless you are going to buy the rebel 3" they are all aluminum so is the quality any better on the more expensive ones... i dont think so.

you mean like fujita or injen that rub ? or just about all the ss/sc intakes? no sorry the ebay intake is actually a better investment then paying for the name on the aluminum like you think is a good idea

i had the same problem with the moutning bracket that is attached to the intake..i just bent it then put the boldt through the hole and screwed the nut on till it tightened up...worked fine...no rubing at all.

i've had both injen, and an aem. and neither rubbed. i've also installed intakes on other people's cars, and never once had a fitment problem.

i've also seen the ebay ones where the filter look like it's made out of a napkin, the "aluminum" is a step up from plastic, and the maf is in the wrong spot.

my MAF is inthe same damn spot as the injen intake and the aem and all the rest....so i dont know what ur talking about...and my intake does not rub and it fits 100% perfect just needed a bit of tlc to get it right..no different then any other intake...and btw..ive had the injen intake...and it performs exactly the same as the ebay one. the only thing i agree with u on..the filter...PLEASE PLEASE REPLACE THE FILTER THAT U GOT WITH THE EBAY INTAKE...ITS POOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

+1. I have an Injen intake and it fits like crap. It took a good amount of bending and pushing to get it to even work. The filter still rubs on the front bumper. Im thinking about cutting the intake a little shorter to prevent this. Has anyone else cut their injen shorter?

my injen rubs on the ground wire screw before it dives under the fender. Awesome intake.

i know 4 people in my area .. 3 with the injen.. 1 has had it replaced once becaus it rubbed through.. and is going to have it replaced again.. another is almost rubbed through. one put weather stripping to stop the rubbing and the one with the fujita and his rubs too all right after they leave the tb one of them almost hits the headlight....

its not worth spending 200+ .. all you're paying for is the name.. yes.. it's not the highest quality materials.. but guess what.. having to replace a 60$ intake is alot better on the pocket then having to replace a 200+

If it's rubbing anywhere get some rubber trim edging.
