Electronic boost controler for the Eaton!

Uh-oh... gonna get flamed!

I doubt this would ever work for us...
Toyota has an electronic boost control system for the Eaton supercharger on their TURD SC'd Solara. Now listen up closely.... it isn't the kind of electronic boost control system that you see in turbo cars with the fancy blue screen and stuff. This is simply an boost sensor feeding information into the ECU and an electonic valve (in place of a pressure actuated valve) controlling the boost.

During that long incubation period, TRD decided to design the supercharger kit with an electronic boost controller--basically an electronic actuator for the standard Eaton bypass valve, which works like a wastegate, dumping boost at two critical points: one, between shifts and two, when the ECU goes into rev-limiter mode.

EDIT: Sorry for geting everyone hyped over the title... Just thought I should share... you know, like back in play school...

I know you can control boost through hptuners so I don't see why you couldn't have such a device.

torque management - supercharger - max boost 1st gear.

100 = ***** out
70 is about 10 psi
50 is about 7-7.5

mine is set at 70 all the way up.
the car makes peak power high up in the rpm band. either you can back it down up top, or keep it consistant.

mine still spin, but im not blowing the tires off on the street. it is something i can drive through

That whole "Stage 3" kit for the Solara was $10k. For ~250 whp on 4 lbs. of boost. Stooopid money.
