but he is using arp head studs now the reason why people pop an engine after forged slugs swap is either tuning or poor prep work

I think cylinder pressure has a lot to do with stock sleeves cracking also. Most of these guys running ported heads or TVS' or anything of the sort that will cause pressure to rise will be more prone to these types of problems.

I have the stock headgasket and arps on my ported head, I heard to many horror stories about the cometic, plus with people on stock block, head, studs, and headgasket pushing 28 psi both turbo and sc I would say the hg has earned its keep.

I'm a fan of the stock head gasket. It's MLS just like the cometic and it comes with copper spray already on it and some gasket material already made onto it. The cometic has no rubber gasket material and is not sprayed with copper so it doesn't seat as easily.

the reason most people have problems with the cometic hg is they dont follow directions jordan aka tennpen ran a cometic for a long time until a oil ring went **** up and he is the only one i know of that has stretched the stock hb bad enough to cause a leak

sleeves/the block have weak points, if the rings are not placed correctly in the correct area it causes extra stress and wears where it shouldn't be and when you have high compression along with that it blows a sleeve.

as far as the cometic goes... IF you install this right you have no problems..

as far as all the engine that are ******* up... that due to the fact of people don't know what the **** they are doing and have no business cracking open a block

Piston rings only go on one way. Pretty hard to **** it up.
