I'd like to wait till someone has rods out for the LSJ, but if not, 2.2 rods and pistons it is. Plus new valvetrain. Still waiting to hear back from a couple places about custom cams.

Good luck, can't wait to see how it turns out.
eagle should have rods ready by next month

Good to hear. I was going to just use Eagle 2.2 rods with Wiseco 2.2 Pistons. But I really like the Diamond pistons for us.

I have stock GM parts on the way to just fix my car, I guess I can do that and just wait to do my build when I have all parts in hand, rather than having the car sit ripped apart for even longer. Haven't driven it since 10/1

Thank god I have a 5 digit check coming in.

I know the feeling my car sat since early Nov 06, and I finally desided to just buy a used motor out of a wrecked car. I drove all the way from Park Hills Missouri to St. Paul Minnisota for it, but I put the new used motor in last wendsday and been driving on it. But I'm still running lean around 60mph, so I put around until I have the money for a tune. But now I have my stock motor setting in the garage ready to build, I would recomend you try to find a stock motor out of a wreck car. It helps alot.

if u use the 2.2 rod & piston u need to watch ur bore size, 2.2 are a little larger so u would need to bore out ur sleeves a little.

Yeah, the initial plan was to bore it out a bit, but there isn't piston or cylinder damage. Just a blown headgasket. So I don't really feel like pulling the motor if I don't need to. The head is at a machine shop getting fixed from the headgasket, and stock GM gasket/bolts are on the way. So all I need to do is toss the head back on and time the motor (which I don't look forward too), then I am back on the road by this week.
