Question test pipe?

just wondering if any1 is running a test pipe threw their cobalt ss?? i had my car for a year now & its going in the garage next few weeeks to start getin some power outta it! just wondering if i should run a test pipe with a custom exhaust or just throw on the gmp performance exhaust.

the stuff i'm adding to the car is the gm stage 2, injen cai, headers possibly (depeding on cash) & then tryin 2 figure out an exhaust. then i'm redoing my audio set up. its gonna hopefuly have everything done & setup for the car shows & track starten in may!

whose tag??

n/m figured it out but from what i heard bout the cobalts is if u take the resonator out it sounds like crap but from what my mechanic was telling me is that if u have a test pipe 2.5" exhaust back it will sound great, loud & deep. now i'm confused

A) What do you mean by test pipe?
B) With just a catback and no resonator it should be ok... any more mods and it will sound like ****... my pacesetter, which comes with no resonator, sounded amazing until i put a downpipe/hi flow cat on... now it is embarrassing going up a hill at 30 mph... i'm getting a resonator welded in as soon as it gets a lil warmer out

a test pipe is a catwith nothing in it & it would also be custom made its also call a straight pipe. i mite just run open headers & the track & get a custom made exhaust

why would you run open headers at the track? no reason for that in a cobalt at all...
