EVAP purge valve?

I want to try something that NJBLUESS suggested in this thread

https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-0l-lsj-performance-tech-47/bypass-my-boost-surge-problem-45811/

But I am unable to locate the EVAP purge valve.

I know this shows off my ignorance, but I can't seem to pinpoint what he is talking about..

Perhaps this is it?

Yes, I'm sure that is something that I should know. Like I said, i'm ignant!

pull the second hose. this is the hose below the short one that goes to the supercharger.

get a screw and plug the hose you just pulled. and go for a drive and see if that helps.
Baically thats the boost by pass mod.
what it will do is prevent the solenoid from dumping the boost your gaining.

There isn't any chance of causing damage by doing that is there?

but if your over boosting on only stage 2 you may have other problems.
Before my Cat completely clogged I noticed I was building more boost then usual.

what kind of boost are you getting before it bleeds?

not really. unless you have smaller pulley's and are boosting enough for it to run lean

Well, the boost gauge doesnt indicate any kind of fluctuation..

It builds normally, and bleeds normally...

if enything it will help identify the problem you were having.

oh and find your self a new dealership, that one you went to is trying to rip you off, and they obviously no nothing about the car.

stage 2 maintains your warrenty, if there is a problem because of it, they should be fixing it no questions asked.

Max boost i've seen is 15psi.

It gets to 12 easily, then has to work to get up to 15..

Man that hose is a bitch to get off. Do I unplug it from the valve, and leave the port open, or do I leave it plugged into the valve, and unplug it where the electronic sensor is? If that makes any sense..

the area that you have highlighted by the super charger.
you unplugging the long hose.
and you plug the end of the hose that you pulled with a screw. I used the screw from the liceance plate lol

just do this to see if it solves the problem, you should not be haveing any issue reaching 15 psi on a stage 2.

I had that problem with stock tune because it is programed that way.

it's pretty tight the first time you take it off.

just make sure your not pulling the hose that goes from the charger to the solenoid.

Got the hose off, and took it out for a drive. At first, it seemed to have fixed it, but I drove for several more minutes, and eventually the problem was still there. It didn't seem as bad. But I figured I should drive it with the hose attatched also, so I can have a fresh memory to compare it to. So I put it back on, and drove around with the problem, then took it off a second time, and it was still there.

So I guess that isnt the problem. But I will try again when I have more time, since it isn't that difficult to do, and I want to drive it longer than the few minutes I did.

Any other advice?

what type of fuel are you putting in it, is it 91 or better octane.
