Exaust tip problem

I had the GMPP Performance Exaust installed on my ss/sc about a month ago and They didnt tell me it didnt come with a tip. No big deal really, I just ordered it and put on a cheap tip until the new one came in. It only took a day to get into the shop. So keep in mind this was a month ago.

I showed up to get it installed but go figure, the tip doesnt fit my car. The exact tip in the part shop that the people said would fit doesnt. Ok i wont loose my temper yet. I waited 2 weeks for their call about the new tip they were supposed to order for me and got tired of waiting. so i went today to check up on them. Yes the new tip is in. how long ago im not sure cuz i never got a call. So they try to put it on. still doesnt fit!!! now they want me to take the tip to some part shop, they dont care who, and get the tip extended so it will go around the pipe. And now suddenly this tip is a clamp on and not weld on like I was told last month.

has anybody else had an issue like this or know of a way to help my problem?

No problem here. I just ordered mine from one the sponsors on here. Crate engine depot. I always try to do research before I buy anything now.

Well I didnt think too much into doing research into something so simple that the dealership sells for the car. How much did the CED tip cost? Do you have any pictures of it? Does a tip effect the sound of the exaust?

It doesn't effect the sound any. The muffler effects the sound. The tip is for show.

Oh I was looking at those tips from CED and it looks like there aare different tips depending on if you have the touring or performance exaust. I wonder if thats the case. Because when I went to buy the exaust in the first place they kept giving me the price for the touring and I kept telling them that there is another choice.... maybe they bought the touring tip?

the only difference in the two i believe is just the sound. so i dont think that would be a factor. did the tip you receive have a chevy symbol on it?

yeah. When they tried putting it on, it was like the exact same size os the pipe that the tip was supposed to fit over.

That's the gmpp price. The corsa is listed on the crate enginge site. Think it is around 700.

dude the tip doesnt fit over, it welds right to the pipe. i am like 99 percent sure on the exhaust from gm mind you, the tip is the same size as the pipe. i dont think there is any overlap, if a am wrong someone let me know. all it takes if for them to put the tip up to the pipe, make sure it looks straight, tack it on there, then weld away

The tip for the GMPP exhaust slides over the exhaust and clamps down. No welding required.

ok, i was thinking it was like the one that comes on the car, as the one that came on mine has no clamp and doesnt appear to overlap. but none the less, he could still take the avenue i mentioned

If I knew how to post pics, I would get you one on the exaust, but as for the tip, I never bought it because it didnt fit. And to add to my sad story, I went back today for the third time and the third ordered tip and that one didnt fit either. Was it supposed to slide on easly or did it have to be forced or adjusted to fit over? If I go there again and they let me down again, Im leaving a huge burnout in the garage as i leave and call it an accident if they stop me.lol
