hey guys i got a muffler put on my car 3 months ago it has 2 baffles in it and the rest is straight through... can when i come on to it she pours the black smoke out and it ends up all over the ass of my car.. and i can never keep it clean any ideas>??

 

How old is tha exhaust? New or used?

 

how rich is your tune?

 

the muffler i took off my buddys mustang lol other then the muffler she is all stock

dont have a tune she stock only thing i have done for mod wise out side is cai and aftermarket muffler

 

had a recent oil change or been in need of one? lol

 

had an oil change 700KM ago but it did it ever scince i put on the muffler im wondering if i should take it off and get a new one

waht would be a good muffler to use i want something racy but not ricey

+1 black = too much fuel ... not a muffler issue

 

shes not running rich or anythign i had it looked at last week everything is right were it is suppose to be

 

with a cai your computer may be compensating for it and your less restrictive muffler byt dumping more fuel into the engine. if it's black, it's running rich

if you know what it's not, then you would also know what IS causing it and probably wouldn't create a thread asking for opinions now would you?

 

Get a tune. If its on the stock tune it is running rich. Not dangerously rich, but still rich

 

so no point in getting a new muffler

ok i thought maybe a new muffler would help get rid of the smoke all the time
