exhaust

ok. So ive been on this forum site for while and am enjoying the information and evrything. But ive noticed that everyone that has an aftermarket exhaust, is narrowed down to 2 exhausts. is there more out there? I know Borla has a full cat bac exhaust system for the 05-06 ss/sc and im getting mine on thursday. Why hasnt anyone posted about the borla exhaust?

Cause Borlas are typically expensive, so that turns people off.

yeah i can see how the price turns ppl off. $825.00 for the whole system is much. But if its what you want to throw on, i dont see why not?

It's all about price vs. gains. For the price you're spending on that, most people (including myself) think you're over spending for a small item and you're paying for a name. In reality, you're just buying piping, a resonator and a muffler. Granted, Borlas do sound nice but any good exhaust combonation hand picked by someone and put together by a welder can have the same performance gain and sound for half the price you're spending.

Just food for thought.

I have heard the Borla... and yes it is very nice.... but why pay over double for something that the GMPP does the same thing... that is why there are very few if any with the Borla!

well the fact is im not paying for the exhaust. my insurance is. little do they know. I got in an accident about a month ago and they put alot of things on the estimate that didnt need to be replaced, like the front rim and windshield. so basically i worked things out with the guy who's fixing my car and hes replacing the stock headlights for the halos and the exhaust. I love it when people make mistakes.

Even still, spend $400, save $400. More useful way of handling money.

I believe the GMPP exhaust is made by Borla, so if you're really interested in them, check out the GM systems. It will save you lots of $$$.

Do a search for the 'Official Exhaust Thread" they have sound clips and prices for a good part of all the exhausts besides the Hahn Exhaust. Just do a separate search for that one.
