Officially own a cobalt!

just got my yellow 06 with G85 and i LOVE it. i have a question though which is probably stupid to u guys but exactly how do u read the boost gauge? im pretty sure anything above 0 is the psi the supercharger is providing. but whats below zero mean? im guessing atmospheric pressure and when you go, since the car is sucking in air, is kinda creates a vacum and equals to zero. well cant wait to get a stage II, even though i havent stepped on it yet. and a cai and idk. thanks.

above 0=boost
below 0= vacum

Hope you enjoy the car. They are fun.

Dont worry bout the clutch, if you beat on it then yeah, but thats your own fault, i got 7,000miles and its still tight like a virgin. Just dont beat on her and she'll love you back!!!

welcome, and make sure when you start tuning your awesome car do it right, theres a lot of people who dont do it right so they screw up their cars and blame gm and sell it!

Yeah man, I just picked up my Black SS/SC this weekend, its a shitload of fun isnt it?!
They say youre not supposed to break 5 grand rpm's in the first 500 miles, man its hard not to. but getting up to 4.5 grand is nice, i cant wait to get through that 5000 mark

I broke mine in like i'm going to drive it . the only thing i did was try not to keep a steady pace for too long . As far as staying below 5k rpm haha didnt happen .

thanks. ya at first i didnt want yellow but than i saw it in person and was like it actually looks pretty good. as far as beating it i did.... i was getting on the freeway in first and it redlined it... it comes quick. but other than that nothing over 5 grand. actually when i test drove it i floored it for a little. and it had 170 miles on it so who knows what happened. probably already beat...oh well got extended warrenty and gap insurance.

thank you for all the welcomes.

Bought my 07 used with 630 miles used for track testing, and I have been pretty abusive on and off since i have owned it. Now almost 3K miles and I haven't even had it for two months yet. Great car, lots of fun and there continues to be more and more coming out for it. Congrats and have fun.
