Exhaust cutout

Right now I am running a 2.8 with stock header, stock catback, and 3in catted zzp dp. I can't stand the sound of any aftermarket exhaust for our cars and can't fathom forking out $600+ for an exhaust. I'm considering just doing an electric cutout to use for when I'm at the track or whatever and just run through the stock exhaust as an everyday thing.

What kind of gains would I be looking at. Would I not have enough back pressure if I do this.

I know a header will yield the biggest gain. But that's another discussion.

If you do it put it where the exhaust bends by the driverside door. With my setup I saw some gains. Also make sure you buy a good one because you will have problems with it not staying sealed which causes it to rattle.

I don't really know what to recommend but I have heard that QTP's are the best.

So far I haven't scrapped on anything with mine but it rattles all the time. I have a feeling that the rattling could be due to the placement of the cutout. It is welding right at the bend so my thoughs are that the exhaust is constantly pushing on the butterfly opening it.

My video shows the placement better than any pictures that I have. I am lowered as well.

I have the DMH performance cutout, right in place where my cat was on my zzp downpipe. it's obviously really loud, when I was spraying there was a night and day difference between cutout closed and cutout open, boy did this baby breathe with it open the nitrous really like that.
