I own a 2006 ss/sc and was wondering if any companies make electronic cutouts for it.

Awesome thanks a lot

One question have you ever heard of the motors going out on these I don't want to weld them to my exhaust and have the motor go out soon after

yeah it sounds terrible

I have the GMPP sport exhaust and actually put mine between the resonator and muffler, so it doesn't sound as terrible.

There are ZERO, I repeat ZERO, cars that require backpressure or benefit from backpressure.

The only thing a cut out will do for you is shift the power band upwards as the exhausts optimum flow is moved upwards. Dont put it immedaitely after the header/dp, but not too far down the exhaust.

BC

I cant stress enough that there is no car that NEEDS or BENEFITS from backpressure.

Agreed, but a larger/more free flowing exhaust isn't always the best for max hp and the best torque curve.

Where would you, where are people puting a cutout in the SS/SC exhaust?
After the header, before the cat, resonator, muffler?
After the cat, before the resonator, muffler?
After the resonator, before the muffler?

Just curious...
