Exhaust downpipe/header gasket help

I keep having to buy exhaust downpipe gaskets because they keep blowing out. Does anyone know where I can get one that will be reliable?

Stock is best, but Remflex makes a nice gasket as well.

Thanks. I haven't even thought to try the stock one to be honest.

There's no reason to continually blow exhaust gaskets

Never had a leak with stock gaskets. A little pricey from the dealer, but it works.

My dealer ones have always worked great. Except for when my flange was warped.

The stock gasket is by far the best option. Or just find one that has a steel ring around the inner part.
I believe I got my last one from napa but I don't remember the brand.

Sounds like its either not tight enough or flange is bent/warped.

Definitely not bent. I think the crappy paper gaskets I keep buying just aren't holding up to the extra flow from not being stock. I'm gonna buy an oem one and see how it does.

Personally, I welded my downpipe to the catback so I wouldn't have to deal with this issue.

Don't use the gaskets that came with that header. They are garbage.

If you do get Remflex, (I like them also) be sure and follow the torque spec and handling procedures.
