Exhaust/ Emissions

Hey guys.. I just recently installed the zzp header dp combo with high flow cat. I'm throwing a code and i have an inspection due next month. What do you guys do to get around emissions? I don't have hp tuners and i don't plan on putting the stocker back on just for an inspection. If i delete the code with a scan tool will i pass emssions before the code comes back? Any help Guys?

Try putting a spark plug anti-foul on.

how do you know the code is from emissions? what is the code? if you have a cat you should still pass emissions no problem.

i know i should pass but... i hear that you fail automatically if you have a cel .... the codes are catalyst under effciency threshold and the air/fuel ratio code that goes with it

You want to know something i have no cat and i passed. if its an emissions code like something with the exhaust then your fine but if theres another code on for something else you will fail. they dont put the sniffer in the exhaust so your fine.

Wrong.

when they plug the OBDII up, that CEL will show up and you'll fail. i have the ZZP set up also, threw the exact same codes. if you clear the codes (i tried it too) before you go get inspected you'll fail also. you have to drive 100 miles after you clear codes before you can pass inspection. you can try to anti foul or whatever they are talking about but the easiest thing to do is get someone with HPTuners to delete the code. I passed no problem after I got it deleted.

He can't pass you if you have the right codes on. OBDII will fail you as soon as he plugs your car up. Sure, he can give you a sticker and send you on your way, but then your state may send you a nice little letter in the mail saying you need to get inspected.

i dont know wher you get that from. but thats deff not true.. i had like 9 people over the past 2 year that got him to pass them and no letter in the mail.. i dont know where you go for emissions but the place i go doesnt use a sniffer just plugs it up and doesnt something with the gas and im on my way..
