As some of you may know i installed a zzp header and downpipe the other day along with a megan exhaust and since then i have ticking when the car is starting, its just constant ticking, some said thats the sound of a exhuast leak so i ran my hand from the header all the way to the end of the exhuast found air flowing out where the header meets the downpipe unbolted aligned the gasket again and rebolted still ticking and still feel air!! is this normal or do i have a exhaust leak? if i do what can fix it i tighting the blts as much as i can and thats not working!!

 

I had one there too like 3 days after i installed the header/dp. One of the bolts zzp sent me was completly gone and half the gasket was broken. Easy fix. Now i have a leak where my dp and exhaust meet. Fixin that tomorrow. But yeah my gues is that it is a leak

 

i dont understand yea when i pulled the gasket there was black soot which is obvious case of leakage but i dont know how hard i can screw the bolts i already broke on tryin to tightin it as much as possible

 

Yeah, i mean i wouldnt tightin them ALL the way but make them like a little more than snug. Lock washers help too

 

tried everything imma take it to rs strauss and see what they can do tomorrow
