exhaust questions???
exhaust questions???
Hey guys I'm new on here and just bought a 2005 cobalt ss and want to put an exhaust on it. I love flowmaster and was wondering how you guys would set them up and what muffler you would use. I have to super 10 series on my 97 silverado and absolutely love the sound and considered that muffler but wasn't sure of the sound on the cobalt. Any video's and suggestions you guys have would be appreciated. Thanks for the help

I have used google but must of them sound way to ricey and others that don't sound ricey and sound good don't have the way they have it set up. And I can't find anyone that has used the super 10 series but have seen some people mention it. And was wondering if anyone has videos of their set up with that muffler or ways that they have set up the super 40 or 44 series which I'm also interested in
there's a couple different options for exhausts. if you're looking for a catback, you're looking for 2.25-3 inch exhaust piping along with whatever muffler you want. make sure it's stainless and go from there.
Do yall think that the super 10 would be really loud and raspy? Or Ricey sounding? And if I do cat back would you recommend a high flow cat and resonator or remove both or one or the other? I'm going for a loud mean sounding exhaust if that helps at all but I don't want to raspy or tin sounding

I have my v8 in my truck but I needed a high mpg car do I bought the cobalt because they're fun ta drive. And want it to sound a little meaner I know it's always gonna sound Ricey but just thought I could get opinions on how to get it to sound less Ricey and louder and meaner
I don't think I want to spend $700 on an exhaust, I think that is just outrageous when I can take it down to an exhaust shop and have an exhaust built for $300 and it sound better then it would if i just ordered the catback. And I found a honda civic lx with the flowmaster super 10 muffler on it and was wondering if the sound would be close on the cobalt or would it be totally different sounding?
