I was told about something called an exhaust silencer. I wasnt sure how it worked or what exactly it does. Does it just make your exhaust quiter? Does it decrease performance?

 

yes thats pretty much what it does

i know the are available for the the Ark N1, and some of the other exhausts that are similar and for alot of the ebay exhausts. its basically a peice of metal that covers up the large outlet, and makes the are pass threw a smaller diamter tube to reduce noise

Try a CC insert from Jegs specific to the diameter you need. I installed (tack welded) one right before the resonator on my Corsa sport exhaust to decrease the excessive pitch and drone and it worked well.

 

I heard a exhaust silencer can make your supercharger louder?? is that true? because i was thinking it makes more back pressure
