Exhaust smell after install

So I just got zzp headers, downpipe and 3" exhaust installed. First of all it is loud as ****. Second I can't really tell a difference at low speeds, but when I punched it 50-100 it def is a lot quicker. Third I keep smelling this soft weird sweet smell around the car, maybe coming from the exhaust. Now is this normal? I know **** is going to be weird until I get my custom dyno tune, but finding a guy around philly are who gives a tune is hard. Anyway should I be worried about this smell?

Its normal. It is just the stuff burning off. All exhausts do that. Drive it around a couple days, it will go away.

It's normal. Just some excess things burning off from production. It will go away. Are you catless? You should break in the cat and not run it hard for like 500 miles.

No I got the high performance cat with the down pipe.

I'm just waiting for a tune and resonator. Its way too loud for the streets as a daily driver.

Yeah didn't feel like waiting. Also because my next mods are devils own and rebel stage 2 kit so 3" exhaust is going to be needed anyways...

Overall the sounds is amazing. Vibrant makes a nice smooth unraspy exhaust. Only problem is, it is soo loud. I set my moms car alarm off as soon as I rolled up back to my house.

Where did you get your car tuned? I'm looking for a tuning place around philly, there hard to find.

Yeah, it'll smell like ass for a little bit. It'll go away. Also, you got a *header. (not headers)

There is a guy named Ray in philly who i have heard is pretty good. My buddy got his WRX done by him and he did a good job. You need tuning software tho cause he don't have it for our car. He has a white STI thats ridiculious and he supposedly owned a cobalt before and an srt-4 that was "srt of the year" or some ****.

i've had my zzp header/dp on for a few weeks now, and i'm still getting a smell that is noticeable when i get out of the car. it's a mildly sweet burning smell. i figured it would have gone away by now, but it's still just as strong as it was when brand new.

Take the drive to Toms River, NJ and see Matt Hauffe @ Tune Time Performance. He's tuned about 70 Cobalts and is heavily involved in GM Performance. There are a bunch of guys on this site that are tuned by him...

Trust me, I wouldn't let anyone else touch my car.

He's a supporting vendor on this site, goes by LudacrisTBSS
