i remember they lowered the decibal readings in daytona for Bike week....but all u need to do is let the judge know if he measured ur sound or not, and go get it measured, and then they should throw it out...

i got one of those when i was crusin my bug back in california... of course it has straight pipes. and is so damn loud you have no need for any type of music playin contraption.. i say just pay the ticket, next time you see a cop just shift into 5th and putter past him. thank god i live in wyoming where you can do what ever you want to your ride and nobody cares....

Haha cant say much to that, just jerkin around on campus with another SS what can i say. I was just sayin there are cops on this campus and ill be danged 15 seconds later he found me.
yeah I think he just wanted to give me a ticket for something just tryin to let me off lightly. And its not that i was revving up to 6 i was hammering it up to 5 or 6 thousand in gear. So I was probably going a little fast but definitely never broke traction. But he was quite upset but mayb i should just pay the thing and take it easy drivin at UCF. oh well better for that then have points and a bigger fine. So ill take the 70 bucks and start account at the Orlando Police Department so next time they can just take it out of my account at the department haha

i got a warning for mine in sarasota fl and i asked an attorney (family friend) and they said that you cant get a ticket because if they were illegal which is what the cop told me then there could be no exhaust shops except at the dealers... and they wouldnt be able to be sold... the only way you can get a ticket is if you were driving crazy and it was disturbing the peace

i got a $350 fine for disturbing the piece with my camaro. granted you could hear me start this thing literally from over a mile away. not much they could do as far as making me redo my exhaust since there aren't really any exhaust regulations in the county i live in but apparently there are noise ordinances LOL. i guess a 450-500 whp fuel injected 383 with single chambered flowmasters is alittle loud LOL.

i didnt pay for my exhaust ticket and ill tell you why, the cop never hooked the little meter to my car to measure the decibals and well since he didnt do that i told the judge that and the judge got rid of it so when a cop pulls me over for exhasut i tell them ok measure it now and if they dont ahev the machine they cant give you a ticket and if they do i go and give the ticket to my dad and he gets rid of it. but when they pull you over tell them, measure my exhaust. if they dont have the machine tell them ok so how do you its illegal?
Yeah apparently im a spoiled little kid when i had to finance this dang thing for 72 months and had to save my pennys for it for only like hhhmmmmm 15 or 16 months so i could afford the payments on the damn thing so shut the funk up. yeah and the speed limit thing its only 30 which is the speed we were doing but since we were side by side apparently that is considered street racing up to the speed limit i dunno. And sorry son, the world is not catered to me i pay for my college, car, and rent and all that crap so sorry i cater to the world

yea but he wasnt there he wanted to bust me for the above and such. i think he was just trying to let me go with somethin more than a warning but not hittin me big time with the rest. so i guess imma just pay the stupid thing and say next time watch me skate my front tires all over campus and give me a real freakin ticket.... geeze. He just wished his crown vic could keep up thats all

the campus speed limits are normally 15-25. you revving first gear to 5-6k rpms was probably faster then that. Also, let me get this straight, your pissed that you got a ticket for some thing like that because yuo were to lazy to see if it was 50 state legal and would rather get a ticket for something much higher to make it worth it? and sry for the ticket man. i would just pay it and move on.
some palces are "up to the officer's discretion" of what is to loud or not. so that isn't really accurate advice to give out..specially if somebody lives in a area like that. Then that person would seem like a hardass and the judge would probably give him the ticket anyways.

interesting. i think its safe to say that i was the black ss with him that night. i goofed him off the line, got up to about 3.5k and shifted. normally i go to 4k rpms to shift out of first considering that only puts you a 2k rpms in 2nd. well i got a way ahead start so he goosed it a little to catch up. it was 11 at night with nobody around. i just kept driving like nobodies business. then i proceeded home. but for you who dont know UCF, and thats pretty much eveyone here, the speed limit is usually 25-35 everywhere. 6 grand in first=30mph. he obviously wasnt paying attention to his revs and went a little too much. Also, you dont know how many fast cars are around here that are louder. the cop was just being an *******, he had his 'opinion' to run on cause he goosed it a little to catch me.

Well i didnt rev it in front of the cop, i was just driving. after he pulled me over though, he asked me to rev it. i stayed out of boost for the rev tho so a lot of exhaust didnt go through (it was a hell of a lot quieter than i shouldve been).

If he says that you were above a specific dB....ask him to prove it (be polite).
No real sense in paying a ticket that you dont deserve (since Hahn avertised its 50 states legal).
You might make that a point in court saying that its 50 states legal...they might say prove it...you'll have to get hahn involved..
If you think its worth all the hassel, by all means fight it (i probably would, just because I dont like being made an example to others). If not, pay the $70.

He cant really say anything..... If you were doing either of those he would have hooked your ass up right there. Not waited a week or two when you were in court to be like ohhh ya i forgot he was racing and weaving in and out of traffic, and those two are really expensive tickets. The judge would ask why he didnt cite you for those violations as well. I would find the laws in your area and fight it, especially if they claim to be 50 states legal.

It's hard to describe the exhaust sound. But it don't sound ricey at all... I am very very pleased with the system. Almost reminds me of a quiet SRT-4 and a little bit like a WRX at high RPMs. WOT in 2nd and 3rd really screams.
