I have the autometer cobalt series a/f gauge and it along with an autometer cobalt series dpic gauge is mounted in a Perrin universal gauge pod that is mounted to the steering column. It mounts really well and the wires hide between the column and the IP trim easily. Only issue is that you have to look around it to see what temp it is outside or anything else in that little window. Not an issue for me. There is a picture of it in my vbGarage.

Keep in mind this is a narrowband, oscillating gauge that has no physical number output. It simply as an led bar that oscillates back and forth. Not very useful for tuning.

wideband, will have to have a bung welded in for it, but will give you the tuning numbers you need

At the Dyno shop if you can. They'll have the welder you'l need. UNless you have a Mig or Tig welder there at your house. All it is honestly is drilling a hole then welding in a bung. After that you just thread in the sensor adn run the wires through the firewall opening. Simple stuff.

Though the hardest part honestly is finding out where to mount it.

what about using the AEM UEGO Wideband or the LC-1 and relacing the stock narrow band location. they're supposed to operate at .1V so it doesn't confuse the computer.
at least that is the impression I was given.

You can. I know the lc-1 has a second output preconfigured to simulate a narrowband output. So you just wire that into your stock harness. One bad thing is that the cat tends to give a leaner reading than actual so it can make a difference since the 2nd O2 sensor is post Cat.

AND if you are tuning or have been tuned with HPTuners, I would simply turn the CEL for the rear O2 sensor off and plug the wideband sensor in; much easier.

I'm looking at getting HP Tuners. What Wideband do I need for that? I figured I would just weld in a bung into the down pipe before the cat.
