A/f ratio gauge

so im gonna hook one up but i have a few questions first

how many wires come out of the o2 sensor? i kno most of the time its two but i didnt know if it was a heated o2 sensor that has four wires.
If it is a heated o2 sensor what color are the wires that are the signal and signal return?

I believe it depends on the setup.

Check out the zeitronix unit... www.zeitronix.com

Well, I was told to go right off the purple wire by the o2 sensor, but I havent had the time to do it yet. So don't hold me to that.

It is correct. I have recently hooked up my A/F Gauge and the purple is the signal for the upper O2 sensor. The purple with the white strip is for the lower O2 sensor and is a less accurate reading. Hope this helps.

If it isn't a wideband O2 I wouldn't bother going through the trouble to install it. They are useless if they are reading off the stock sensor

i put it in the triple guage pod because there really wasn't any other guages i wanted. i got the bost (factory) and oil pressure. the temp was in the DIC so i had no need for that. i really don't see a need for a volt meter or a fuel pressure guage on a stock or close to stock motor either. also, i didn't want to get an interceptor because #1 they are way too expensive and #2 i think digital guages look cheap. i understand that they have many many uses but just not for me. so basically i got it for the light show lol

AGREED!!!!^^^

why not get a two pod piller..then you you have your boost and oil pressure guage...that way you wouldent need the "light show" guage.

just an idea

because if i ever have a need for an additional guage the spot is already there and i won't have to buy another guage pod.

DO NOT install an AF gauge without a wideband 02 sensor... Not only are you not going to get any where near an accurate reading, your going to change the resistance that the circuit already sees and basiclly changing what the computer sees as far as your 02 readings. Bad BAD BAD.
