Hopefully this hasn't been discussed yet. I did a search, but couldn't find anything.

I ordered a Stage 2 kit last week and was told it was on backorder. Availability undetermined.
A search at the dealer showed several in CA. But the dealers don't have to let them go.

Anyone else run into this?

I wonder if GM is holding them while they fix the software?

I ordered mine about a week ago and it was shipped to the dealer and is set for install this thursday, im soo stoked, but as to your question about backordering, i simply ordered from the dealer they had literally no problems just a week ago...hard to imagine that would change drastically in a week, besides your better off ordering it straight from the gmperformanceparts website, i told my dealer i was going to order from them and they beat the websites price by 15 bucks, maybe i got lucky or maybe your being given the runaround...good luck

 

Actually I was standing right with the parts guy when he tried to order it.
On speaker phone, I heard the gM backorder phone message.
Interesting, because this was last Tuesday......

very strange indeed, i am going to the dealer tomm and ill ask about this backorder situation, but mine was ordered last wednesday and came in on this past thursday. I will tell them i have a buddy that wants the same setup and see what they have to say about ordering another kit. I have yet to see the actual product but my service guy has been extremely helpful and assured me that the parts have come in. Perhaps it varies regionally, regardless of the circumstances it is quite a peculiar situation. I will update tomm after my lunch break.

why dont you just order it online.

 

Order it from fred beans parts they have the cheapest price at 577.50.

 

The price from my dealer is $575.
If GM has it, they should be able to get it just as easily as I can on line.

I don't know what the problem is.
