Few Question's

Hey guys so I just purchased a 2006 SS/SC with 44k miles. Car is completely stock besides an Injen CAI. I am putting a full ZZP Header/DP and Cat-back Exhaust. My question is, with doing all this is it grounds for getting a tune? Like I said I am new to this and have read here and there but can't quite put it all together. All input is greatly appreciated!

Exhaust work should be perfectly fine without a tune, you won't get the maximum amount of HP out of it, but it won't hurt anything.

Thanks for input! Yea I didn't know how much of a difference it would make. I did read a few guy were talking about getting a tune because they were throwing a P0171 CEL. I am also throwing that since I put the Injen on.

Get the exhaust work done then drop a pulley (my .02), when you drop a pulley thats when you should get the tune done. but thats just what I'd do. If you stay at a 2.9" pulley you won't need an aftermarket intercooler.
good luck with the future mods man.

Exaust can throw the trims off a lil but normally wont cause a p0171 or p0172. A intake wil cause both if untuned. (More then likely). Now for all your moneys worth get a tune but is not required. Now if you want some good power and a nice powerband get a 2.7 port the blower, get some 60s and harness and dual pass and get a h.e and get tuned for it.!! youll love it, then youll end up going turbo swapped!
