Some things that will be on for next year

Drag Radials
Exedy Clutch
DSS Axles
Tein or KW V2s
The WOT box
DEI Cry02 System

With these things 12s should come with ease

i sure as hell hope 12's are on the way lol

this next thing is not directed at you, but this site in general:

since day one 90% of the people on here were concerned with one thing in order to make their cars "faster" and that one thing was power. this thread is as good of an example as you can get on here. you drive a fwd car that makes a decent amount of power, you need to modify for traction first and foremost, unless you enjoy getting smoked by pretty much anything else at a drag strip.

QFT!! get a nice suspension set up via coilovers or springs and konis, mounts or ingalls TD, some nice tires, drag bags and cool the heaton down and that will net u more than throwing down big numbers in most cases

Isn't this a TVS blower car? I was kinda expecting faster times. I think my car could pull that # off with my stock blower, area47 tune, 2.9, stage 2 and full exhuast.

Track is a different game than the street, having more power sometimes hurts you even more which is the problem im running into, its hard to be fast when your spinning.

Theres no doubt I'd smash any stage 2 car from a roll on the highway but thats not my style or where I'm trying to get to.

I dunno how does it compare I did 80-100 in 2.7 seconds, you make the call

Yea your trap speed is way too low with the TVS i would look for a new tuner. When i went to the track i was spinning half way down the track and i still layed down a 105mph trap on the stock blower. with dual pass as my only cooling mod.

what the heck is your redline. you should be shifting into fourth until just at 110 or so. even then you are still only going 84 at the 1/8

and how did you only hit 13.9? Aren't you one of the guys with a blower swap? You've wasted your money if that's the case. I don't have meth and I hit a 13.9 on (i'm told) a slow track, with a 2.9" pulley, exhaust and intake.

Chris SS/SC, I hit 106mph on the run I just mentioned. I'm not a 13.3 car. With traction, a new clutch, and the header/dp and tune that I have now I'll be lucky to hit 13.5.
False. Just look at ralliartist. 13.2 @ 104. Just the fact that the trap speed is 106 makes the car capable of at least a low 13 second pass. You're telling me that with slicks and header / dp along with all of your other mods as well as a 1.9 or even a 2.0 60ft would mak you run a 13.5 if lucky? That is impossible-- unless your driver mod (or lack of mod) is that horrible.

you shouldn't be shifting to 4th unless you have like a 20" tall tire or a 4.70 final drive.

You just don't trap high enough to warrant the shift.

thanks for the compliment. lol. I think my trap speed may be misleading though. That was on 26"x10.5" mickey thompsons. They are HUGE tires. They are great for traction and have a lot of cushion to help prevent breaking something, but unfortunately, they will extend the gearing of the car out quite a bit, and cause the car to fall out of the powerband when shifting to the next gear. For instance, I've raced a few friends on them from a 40 roll, I used 2nd and 3rd only, up to about 130ish and they used 2-3-4-5th gears.

I'm going to be using 24.9x8" hoosier's next season. I'm pretty sure I should come out of the gates with the whole new slip. It probably will look like I did quite a bit of stuff to the car, but in reality, I just properly sized the wheels and tires to the power level and gearing.

unless your trap speed significantly increases, I don't see you hitting 12's. Make sure you get probably sized drag radials though, that could be all you need.

so if im at 7000 rpm in 3rd and im still 100 or so feet from the line I shouldnt shift? the top of 3rd is about 106, keep in mind also the redline wheels are a half inch shorter in diameter.

On this pass I hit the rev limiter and let off the gas totally then shifted into 4th, basically coasted across the line. I'd like to see some of you let off 100 ft before the line and still trap that high

Seriously you guys say some pretty dumb things but thats tops

Check your own data logs can any of the rest of you hit 80-100 in 2.7 sec? I had another stage 2 car compare it last night that runs 13.6s and he was seconds off that mark

If you can do 80-100 in 2.7secs then you should be trapping higher then 106. You need traction mods but your trap should still be significantly higher considering traction shouldnt be a problem at those speeds. What is your limiter set at? Like everybody is saying you should not be shifting into 4th. Turn the limiter up to 7400 just to give you some leway so you can get through the traps in 3rd w/o shifting
