What is your tire size? If you are using a pretty short tire, then you should be in 4th sooner than 100ft. out. Right now, stuff just isn't adding up in my head.

On this pass I hit the rev limiter and let off the gas totally then shifted into 4th, basically coasted across the line. I'd like to see some of you let off 100 ft before the line and still trap that high

Seriously you guys say some pretty dumb things but thats tops

Check your own data logs can any of the rest of you hit 80-100 in 2.7 sec? I had another stage 2 car compare it last night that runs 13.6s and he was seconds off that mark
i did and trapped 111

225/45 17s Ion Redline rims I'm not turning the rev limiter past 7000, its not good for the valvetrain, my motor isnt worth a tenth or two, theres other ways to be faster

100ft give or take its hard to see going that speed in the dark, cecil county is not well lit

Just to clarify AGAIN on this pass I coasted before the line because i hit the rev limiter at the top of 3rd resulting in no doubt a loss of trap speed and ET!!!!!!!!!!!

"Your trap speed should be higher" well no **** if I wouldnt have torque steered the **** out of 3rd gear I would have been paying more attention and had the perfect shift but that didnt happen.

Were not telling you this so we can bash you..

Were tellling you this because they obviously see that something is still wrong, and you can get MORE out of your runs ,higher traps, and lower ets...

Some of these people know what they are talking about, and i beleive them if they think your traps should be higher... Wouldnt you want your car to be faster?

first off, you should be able to do 108/109 in 3rd. I just calculated it.

secondly, think what you want, but the motor is safe to 7500. I'm not going to argue with you, so if you want to be ignorant and believe that 7000 is the MAX, then whatever.

I let off 100ft before on my 13.3@103 pass, look at what it did for me, my next pass was only a 13.2@104, so only I only dropped 1mph off. That excuse has got to go bud.

if you hit the limiter, you should still should have trapped higher than 106, something doesn't seem right. Your car is wierd.

I hope the next post doesnt say "i didnt ask for help"...

Theres no reason to post in a forum if you dont want any feedback... Obviously some people have better ideas than others, and the person who asks if the harrop is the TVS shouldnt be bothered with, but dont expect people to forget what they know, and pretend that your times are what they should be...

I would be proud of those times, but with the money i would have spent on the harrop, i would expect more for myself, instead of just settling with a 13.9...

And in the old thread, you bashed someone for asking if it was driver error...

This thread you say "your the worlds worst drag racer".... ??

7000rpm is what gm states, thats right in the build book and no offense but I'd take the advice of someone making 1450hp over someone making 250hp.

I know it wasnt the perfect pass, but the important thing is that its faster than me-personally has ever run, I mean I picked up 3mph in a week. I just need a few more items and I'll be right where everyone expects maybe even better.

I'm just thrilled to finally be in the 13s no matter how

to each their own I guess.

Funny you are happy with your results, and I picked up 4mph and .4 tenths from a pulley swap, exhaust work, and more cooling, and I was pissed. LOL.

Im sorry But WTF are you doing shifting into 4th gear????????!!!!!!! I have hit 113 MPH in 3rd gear. My rev limiter is at 7200 RPM and theres no way an extra 200RPM is going to hurt the motor

I dont know how much clearer I can make it to you but when you have a smaller diameter tire, it takes more rpm to reach the same amount of speed, even at 7200 theres no way im seeing 113, thats more of an issue with your speedometer not being correct. Yes with the stock 18s you can hit 108-109 however with a tire thats .6 inches taller than what i have you must also recalibrate the speedo in hp tuners, you put in the tire size it does it for you.

Well i have to say that all those gauges being up on HPtuners is really cool. But when i did that pull in 3rd gear i was data logging using hptuners.
