That's exactly what it is false knock. Don't see the point of trying to curing it wasting meth at low speeds. But that's just me.

i dont get knock just driving around and thats not what im trying to "cure". on the dyno the car really liked timing at 3-5k rpm, and didnt see any knock during a 4th gear pull. this is when the car made its best torque numbers. however starting in 2nd and going through the gears on the dyno showed the car was knocking in that same rpm range. and it wasnt false knock, at one point we had aggressive knock you could hear.

basicly the meth pump has to build pressure when the switch turns on. it happens fairly quick, but its not instant. during a 4th gear pull this isnt an issue, starting below 2500rpm the pump comes on as you smack the throttle, and in my case boost goes to roughly 12psi instantly. the timing there isnt aggressive at that low an rpm and there is no knock as the pump builds pressure, and its spraying full meth well before it gets to 3000rpm. now when your starting in 2nd gear and go to 3rd the engine drops into its peak torque range when you shift, and when you hit the throttle the boost jumps up, its at heavy load, but it takes just a fraction of a second before it gets the meth spraying as it should, and this is were the knock happens. now as i said before, we brought the pressure switch down, this helped the problem. it allows the pump to start sooner as the engine builds boost and gets the meth into the engine sooner.

a progressive controller will help here as not a lot of meth is needed to keep it from knocking. having the system come on and ramp up will help keep the knock away and keep the meth usage to a minimum during part throttle boost.
