Finally going to intercool..

I got the parts to get my cav intercooled.

This is how I plan on running it. I have been to that it might be more beneficial to switch the pump and heat exchanger so that the pump doesnt heat up the coolant before going to the endplate.

Is this correct how I have it routed? Keep in mind I have a cavalier so I was never intercooled and dont have the stock heat exchanger.

the gm supercharger kit for the ecotec cavy/sunfire is non intercooled. the manifold is identical, however the endplate just has the hose barbs capped.

Glad....makes for a much much easier install with the factory hoses. Well a couple of them anyways.

Thats the correct routing though?

On a stock cobalt ss/sc the pump pushes hot coolant into the heat exchanger, then out from the heatexchanger to the manifold, so its opposite to what you have however, I personally don't see switching it will cause any problems, as the pump will not heat the fluid up as stated earlier

Oh btw, do u have ur iat sensor in the manifold, using a tmap or do u have the iat sensor in the intake still, I really hope u have it in the manifold or using a tmap, otherwise ur car wont take advantage of the iat timing safety tables

Oh Btw heat rises up, so u might wanna switch the cold outlet to the bottom, might not make a huge difference, but its better that way

LSJ Charged Air Cooling System Supercharger - YouTube

This vid seems to say its correct, although every dual pass setup diagram ive seen they have the hot coolant going through the pump instead.
