I think you may have gotten a decent deal, but I haven't ever paid for an oil change with full synthetic oil. I thought it would be more than that.

the 07 ss sc takes exactly 6.5 qts. The owners manual says 6, but it doesnt even show on the stick with 6.

That's about right for a oil change on one of these things.

$30 bucks for Mobil 1 synth oil at Sams club and $5 filter I still cant see paying someone $60 to do it and have me sitting their twidling my thumbs waiting for it or leaving and coming back wasting my time back and forth. I just changed the oil and filter and it easily took less than 10 minutes, altho I did drop the socket off the oil filter cap and it took a while to fish it out. I thought id hate that filter setup at first, but I had the filter off and changed in 30 seconds actually much easier than a under the block filters.

But sometimes some people cant do it at home or apartments etc., so they have to have someone do it and id trust the dealer more than a quickie oil change place and pay em the bucks.
