Fluttering from Bypass or Diverter valve on Charger?

Has anybody experienced this?
I doubt its belt slip, Boost does not fluctuate, and there is no Belt dust present anywhere.
Sounds like the valve is opening and closing, I know the boost is handed out by the GM boost solenoid, but I assume there is a spring in that valve?

When does it happen? If it's the top of the RPM band, it seems to be something the computer does. I noticed it in the last 500 or so RPM when I put on a Mechanical boost gauge. I have never heard it, I just watched the gauge flutter between 8-12 psi for the last little bit.

Yeah mine was fluttering and I bet that diaphram is shot. I but a MBC inline and it took away the flutter. It happens to me at about 9.5psi around 4000rpm. Then the boost will jump to 15and slowly build to redline. With the MBC the car just instantly hits 17.5psi and keeps building to 20.

I doubt the diaphram is shot. Mine was doing this, but I found it was an 'issue' with 'Tourque Managment'. Remove all TQ mangmnt and the flutter will most likly go away, allowing A LOT more boost.

My car makes a sound at quarter throttle or under 3500 rpm. Its best discribed as a flutter. When i go wot it goes away. Is this what your talking about? I don't fully understand what your all talking about. If someone could explain to me better. thanx

It's been removed already, that's not the problem.

Assuming that it IS TQ managment, the TQ is calculated and limited by the ECM. Differnt conditions can make the ECM calculate the TQ to be different, and maybe your not hitting the limit

I have my boost control with HPT turned off. Full boost is allowed at all RPMs. I didn't have a problem for a logn time and I have just noticed it in the last few weeks. Put the MBC in and no more problems.
