doesnt matter, it all ends up flowing around anyway. i took the stock hose off of the IC pump and ran a line from there to the FMHE, then from the FMHE to the stock HE, and the stock HE goes works as it normally would

it does matter, you want the coolant to go through the stock intercooler first to take the first hit of heat (especially since it's sandwhiched in between the radiator and a/c condensor and doesn't hardly see any airflow). You want the front mount to get the coolant AFTER it goes through the stocker since the frount mount is mounted right up in your grill where it gets all that cold air flow to chill the fluid.

reroute it and I'd bet your IAT's drop another 5+ degrees.

It only makes sense. I was considering even looking at this thread as I figured it would be a topic beat to death. I'm glad I opened it and read it now, as you setting it up backwards would probably keep you 5+degrees warmer IAT's.

Drastic, I dunno. I do know that it will help keep your IAT's from getting so hot so quickly. Is that all the mods in your sig that you have? Do you know what your IAT's are now before the h/e?

Since you do already have the dual pass w/ opt. b, you should see a pretty considerable drop in temps. I'd say about a 10-15degree drop. Maybe more, all depends.
