front mount intake
They should call it the Cold Water Hyrdo-Locker hahah lol...cause that's what its gona do....but seriously....yes ur gona get cooler air but on boosted cars it doesn't really matter cause the heat exchanger/intercooler is where it matters.....On another note, a CAI is more than fine....if anything route tubing from the front that leads to the CAI area on the side of the bumper...just so the air is flowing that way but not sealed where hydrolocking can occur. Awhile ago, I had some tubing that led from a foglight cover on the front bumper that led to my stock airbox. Offered some extra umph on the highway but not much gains on the butt dyno...all in all...get a intake that is proper and won't get ur car and ur face punked my other ppl that realize what ur doing is absolutely retarded.
But I've seen a coupla ricers with those things....duno if they do nething but it sure does offer a good laugh!

yeah I've seen this intake before pretty much the exact same one.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/96-00...spagenameZWDVW
it just looks like a new attachment for my shop vac. I wonder if bad girl would put this on her car.

Didnt' areospeed make those a while back and the whole thing just tanked on them?
I believe Horsepower TV installed one on their project ricepackt (poor riced out honda) ANd they went on and on about how much extra power it was gonna make. After it was all said and done on the dyno rollers it LOST power.

id like to see it integrated with a cry02 intercooler sprayer, with a wot switch, i bet that thing would do something on the track.... especially if you can supercool it with the co2. just my 2 cents....
hack my friend, not on the intake, on the back of that piece, it would make a ton of difference, havent you seen the intercooler sprayers? It is not a dumb idea, and i know for a fact it would make a hell of a difference, the colder the air is going into the engine, the more power it will make...... i had thaught about mounting one above the supercharger, however freezing hot aluminum is a good way to crack it.... the only other option is the intake adapter that they have, wich is like a $200 part, and all it is is about a 5 inch piece of aluminum intake tubing with a little bubble like thing inside that the co2 goes through and the air goes around it.....

It would definitely stall if you put co2 into the intake lol
im not trying to start anything but the design of it works better than a reg intake from injen or anything
my friend has it on his and he pulled more hp/tq on the dyno with the front mount intake
not trying to start a war but yeah it was i think only like 1hp dif but "its not like the idea doesnt work"
even though it is kinda dumb
(i am so getting bashed for this)

oh yeah for the mcguyver guy.... check out inhales "ram air" box he made with some electricians stuff,,, actually works pretty good too... no dyno numbers as of yet, but he used to keep up with me at speed when I had a 3" pulley and he was stock.
