What's the problem with 60's?
I assume you mean idle problems, right?

No proper tuning fixes the idle issue. Blown 4-banger got his idle tuned in not too long before he blew his motor. The issue is the injectors being double the size of stock and the fuel rail unable to accomodate that much flow. Atleast that is my speculation of cylinder 4 blowing on the cars running 60's.

A 2.8 is pushing the limits of the 42.5's with the stock fuel system. I would look into boosting the fuel rail pressure first, but I have yet to see anyone do that.

I think a larger pump, return line, and boost referenced regulator would be the best option. Some people have mentioned the Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump, but I'm familiar eoungh with it to know how well it works.

No the injectors are only actuated by the camshaft to initiate the plunger on the injector to start the spray process. Newer diesels do run really high fuel pressures though. For example the cummins common rail runs around 5000 psi in the rail and once sprayed into the cylinder through the tiny nozzle holes the injection pressure increases to around 28,000 psi.

I was wondering why the GM Stage 3 still include the 42's (those from Stage 2) for a 3" pulley (which is 15 PSI) PLUS a 50 shot of dry nitrous ...

So ... does the Stage 3 PCM send a higher voltage to the pump when nitrous is on ???

That is a really good question. I would think the regulator would negate the extra pressure in the line, but may be not. I wonder if the GMS3 PCM alters the regulator's pressure level.

kind of why i put my 2.8 back on.

then again, water injection helps create a saftey blanket.

take out fuel, spray additional sourced fuel, run same a/f ratio. everyones happy
