G85 price from dealer

i went to the dealer and asked about getting the g85 option seperatley and i was told labor itself would be over 1500$... that doesnt even include the lsd or recaros.... so to everyone who wants the lsd i think you should just accept the fact that it would be too expensive and not worth the money... i think i finally have...

It's not like it matters anyway.

Lol, why doesn't it matter? Are one wheel burnouts as good as two?

Just check his (codyss) other posts. We don't need to rehash this.

Putting in new seats wouldn't be difficult. Putting in the LSD would be. If I ever find a tranny in a wreck G85 I might consider doing the swap then and then only.

True true, but if you even turn the slightest bit your done, but in a straight line its all wheel hop, i just ordered a tranny mount from RSM racing, i hope it fits, it should. If it works well it will be a nice upgrade and better than those torque braces.

The $1500 price of the option on new one is a bargain . Going with all new stuff youd have over $2500 just in the 2 recaro's and the expensive LSD .

You have a point, but I know myself and some others would prefer the LSD without the recaros (I have a very bad back and there is NO lumbar in the recaros)
That would still be more expensive in the long run but I get NO factory option to do this

"Some" dealers will work with you . Like getting a credit for swapping the recaro's for the standard SS seats in a different car . All they would do is add a 2nd sticker for the addition of the recaro's in the car that didnt have them to begin with .

From Quaife it's $1,445.00 . Your sig needs to be [/IMG] at the end to work.

unless you have a lift and lots of equipment its unlikely you'll be able to do it.

my cobalt doesnt have lsd... it does 2 wheel burnouts, and wheel hops. all depends on if i have 32 psi, or 20 pis in the tires.

I bet you in the rain or around a turn only one wheel turns cause it does it in mine, its a open diff thats what you get. Sometimes you can get both to spin but only maybe 50% of the time

With only the torque brace I can spin both off the line, into a hard corner with my foot in it results in a one wheeled burnout.

Take a G85 around a corner really hard and hammer it, same result as a open differential. Our cars are sprung so hard that spin in corners is almost a guarantee.

I drove a G85 car and the only thing I noticed is that the wheel hop was 3 times what mine is. What a sweet benifit!

I'm getting an LSD regardless because of autocross/track racing. I'm with whoever said they didn't want the Recaros. I hated those things. I plan on putting in a good harness anyway so the stock seats will be fine and my back won't be killing me every time I drive. As far as price, it's still going to be cheaper for me to do the LSD after the fact just because I'd have lost the deal I got on the car by ordering vs taking inventory off the lot.

doesn't the ss have equal half lengths? where is all the one wheel stuff coming from? personally I will get the LSD whenever I feel like it but right now in stock form it wouldn't do me much good ... there needs to be more done to the car before I install the LSD to where it would make a noticable difference in the overall driving experience
