Gaskets for Down Pipe

I'm replacing the down pipe on my car and was wondering if I need to get new gaskets?
Just to prepare, I've looked at my local NAPA and they only list gaskets for Auto's, but that shouldn't matter right?
Manifold to Flange is 3 bolt, and Flange to cat back is two bolt, right?
I guess I would need some new hardware (bolts) too since I would suppose they're pretty rusted on atm?

Thanks in advanced.

Yes and Yes. Need a new gasket. header to DP is a 3 bolt gasket, and the dp to catback is 2 bolt flange.

I would also get new hardware

Any place you would recommend to get this stuff at?
I have the normal auto places in my area. Oriellys, advanced, autozone, etc. and looking online they say they don't have them, lol.

Maybe its cause I'm specifying the vehicle.. are gaskets universal?

wouldn't hurt to replace the parts, especially your gaskets.

Check out Crate Engine Depot.

I recommend using genuine gm gaskets.

I've used aftermarket gaskets in the past, and they did not seal well.

Thanks for the part numbers. You think they would get here by Saturday if I ordered them today? I need them this weekend.

Also, what hardware is needed. 2 14mm nuts and bolts and 3 15mm nuts and bolts? Or are there specific part numbers for those?

You can ask Tom (Crate Engine Depot) about shipping.

They ship fast.

U can reuse your existing hardware if you have it.

If not, the nuts and bolts can be found at Crate Engine Depot as well.

I do have it, but I'm betting that its all rusted out and I'll probably have to drill or something, lol.
But thanks a lot for your help.

Has anyone used ZZP's gaskets? Specifically, downpipe and collector.

I have, and they are the ones I was taking about.

I ran them with one of their downpipes back in the day, and I had an exhaust leak.

When I installed the GM gaskets the leak went away.

What I always recommend to people running the stock manifold, gmpp manifold, or shorty header to a stock downpipe or zzp downpipe is the following:

- Genuine GM manifold to head gasket
- Genuine GM manifold to downpipe gasket
- Remflex 2-bolt flange gasket for the downpipe to catback connection

This has been my gasket setup for years, and I have always been leak free.

Staged is right they do **** fast, and those are good gaskets. As to drilling the bolts off.... Good luck, I would try to unbolt them very hard before resorting to drill. Mine very very rusted, you just gotta try real hard

I use Remflex Header to Downpipe Gasket. It's worth it and it stop/seal up the leak. That way you won't have to worry about them later on.

So are the GM gaskets....

The ZZP gaskets are just not made of the same material, and did not seal well on my car.

Again, thanks for the feedback guys. Just seeing what my options are.
Trying to get this done this weekend, since I have a pair of extra hands available, so I'm not trying to order anything that wouldn't get shipped to me this weekend, and ZZP is in the state.

Gonna hope my dealership just has the gaskets.

Yes, they should. Question is if they have them in stock right now. Everything I've had to get for this car from the dealership had to be ordered. Except for my stupid sunroof button bezel.

I thought I read in a How-To somewhere to not use that stuff.

Eh, I don't wanna get caught looking for it at work.
There's a couple how-to's on down pipes and one of them said not to use a liquid gasket, iirc.

I got the down pipe changed.
Took longer than expected, as usual.
I had to saw one bolt off the two bolt flange, because it was so rusty.
I'm really happy since my exhaust sounds 20 times better now and I can actually run my Megan without the silencer and it sounds pretty nice and not just loud anymore.
