Getting my blower ported.
Getting my blower ported.
I'm taking my blower a different route than Sinister Redlines who used Steigemeier. Not that I don't 100% agree that he does excellent work as I've seen the results on a few of my friends Cobra's and Lightnings. I unfortunately cannot afford to ship my blower off and be without a vehicle so I've contacted a few local shops and have been speaking to a gentleman for a few days about it. I won't disclose the shop name, but he is definitely knowledgeable and has done work on a few local Cobras himself. I went and checked out his shop today and it sold me, it's incredibly professional, very clean and his crew (which is only a few) are all friendly and know what they are doing. I'm frickin excited. Tomorrow I'm going to the shop and we're (or they're) going to dissassemble the blower and take some notes and measurements. According to them it shouldn't take but a weekend to do it, once they've got it blueprinted.
Anyway, I'm really excited and also very enthusiastic about Sinister's results (mostly on the RL forums). Hopefully our "pioneering" efforts will pay off. At the owners request he doesn't want me taking any pictures so I unfortunately won't have any. Hopefully if all turns out well I might be able to talk him into offering a service like Steigemeier is.
More to come in a few weeks.
