GM build not removing motor

I remember seeing this somewhere on this site. Does anyone have the link to how to install the pistons /springs for the GM build to 300hp on this site.

Does anyone know where to ge the GM springs they used in the build or a link to that as well.

Thanks

Your pistons should hold up just fine to 300hp. The only reason why you would have problems with your pistons at 300hp is because of heat. Get rid of that with a heat exchanger, dual pass kit and meth injection. As of the valve springs, it would be a good idea if your going to be running over 7000rpms. If you keep your redline around 6500 then I wouldnt do it unless your putting bigger cams in there.

Check out the other build book on the gmblogs.com website. The 2.2L one will show you how to R&R pistons while keeping the engine in the car. Your best bet though is to pick up a shop manual from Helm.

The springs they used are from batesengineering.info however a few members here have had better luck with Ferrea and SuperTech springs. A google search will come up with vendors for both.
