So Stage 2 is injectors, pulley, and reprogram....cool. Any idea on the cost? The part number didn't work for me on GM Parts Direct's site.

I like the added 500 rpm.

I have a feeling that Stage 2 with a 2.8 pulley, Intake, GM PPManifold and a cat back will might be close to 300whp.

Ok thats what i thought, so plus a 2.5hr labor at $85 a hour = $212.50 plus the cost of the parts.

I'm getting mixed thoughts here...can you just buy the stage 2 alone? I don't want to do that stage 1 then stage 1 to 2 BS

Yes. You can JUST buy stage 2 and skip buying stage 1.

[QUOTE=BlwnGP]This past weekend was Autorama in Detroit. GMPP was there. They had the "official" billboard describing the Stage 1 & 2 kits. It distinctly referred to different PCMs for the stages and even different sets of injectors. The PCMs and injectors between Stage 1 & 2 ARE IN FACT DIFFERENT.

I also talked to the representative from GMPP, and he said that they will start releasing the stage kits starting this month. But he also siad they will be releasing a supercharger too....don't know if he didn't understand what I was asking, or old and senile

Unfortunately, they did not have a very impressive display, only a billboard for the stage kits set up next to a HHR with a SB V-8 (sprint car motor) RWD conversion. I would have thought they would have been knee deep in cobalts and corvettes there, but GMR wasn't even present. Kinda dissappointing.

In fact, only 2 Cobalts were at the show...Bob Mull's Vision (in a little corner display in the basement ) & the Grip Tuning Cobalt (on the main floor with a very nice display).[/QUOTED

Doesn't this make more sense, perhaps stage 1 and stage 2 are not directly related. Different injectors, different programming, a pulley and belt on one but not the other. Maybe just maybe the stage 1 to stage 2 kit is for people who buy stage 1 and realize they wanted more

It doesn't make sense for the kits to be completly different. Why would GM sell all the same parts as the stage 2 kit as the stage 1-->2 kit for $300 dollars less?

just because they already got $400 from you?

That is way to nice for any company to do. The injectors are most likely the common link between the kits.

And another thought don't you think if people found out that the stage1-->2 kit was not built off something in stage 1 they would buy that because by that logic the stage 1-->2 kit is the stage 2 kit.

Looks Very Unofficial ...I'm going to stay patient and wait to see some official news

I wonder why they would choose to display a redline ...it would be the first time GM put it first over the Cobalt ..

Talked to GM parts Trax and GM techline, NO orders are being accepted as the kits are NOT available yet! Any orders placed will be declined!
