GM Stage 1 & 2 Kits. Getting them?
Zinner, I think you install the GM injectors and still drive the car to the dealer. When I installed the GM Supercharger kit on my Z24 I drove it 10 or so miles to the dealer without killing the cat.
i was just reading like one of the first 5 posts and it was victory red saying he was gonna get stage 2 from dealer and iw as like wtf ..hes doing turbos/ rwd conversion and was so confused..then looked at the date and was like ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.......
Shipping to GA is 10.95

Just a quick survey here. How many of you will be ordering either stage 1 or 2 from GM, or will be ordering another aftermarket brand, or will simply just leave their cars stock. I am just curious to see how many people will go for these or something else.
This is the Candian retail on the kits.
17801947 Stage I (injectors, re-flash) $802.75
17803229 Stage II (injectors, re-flash, pulley) $1264.75
17803230 upgrades Stage I to stage II (pulley) $499.75
Stage I one uses an ECU re-flash and new injectors to add 31 HP, and 5 lb-ft of torque. It offers a 0.3 sec quarter mile improvement.
Stage II includes an ECU re-flash, new injectors (same as stage I), and a smaller 3" pulley. This gives another 5 HP, and 13 lb-ft of torque. Overall it improves your 0-60MPH time by 0.5 seconds, and your quarter mile time by 0.7 seconds.

Do you have any idea how each kit would impact MPG? I like the fact the cobalt can get up to 30mpg and I want more performance if possible, but I don't want to do it too drastically at the expense of the mileage. Thanks for your help. I head these are coming out in Sept., is that still true?
Also if I got some kind of exhaust and intake, could it improve HP, and also mileage? Would getting both the staged LNF kit, an exhaust, and intake be advisable? Thanks for your help.
