OMG!!! What a difference!!! I could not stop spinning the tires, It's wet out. This engine woke up, especially in the upper RPM. Cruising in second and punched it, through my and my passangers' heads back.
Took about 2 hrs to install, the hub was a very tight fit.
YES, the redline is right around 7k, more like 6800 on my tach.
Sorry, I didn't watch my boost gauge, will do on the way home.

NO kidding??!!! So, it's true, 7K redline! I hope this is true, and not that it went to 7K only because you're spinning......

I think that if wheel hop wasn't a huge issue the clutch would be much longer life because you can mitigate wheel hop with slipping the clutch.

Exactly. Plus we all know with as bad as the wheel hop is in this car that it was not built as a drag car.....

We need at least 7K+ with this powerband and gear spread to go anywhere. Oh well, back to waiting a couple more weeks for pcm access

Couldn't tell you. But i don't think you can blame the clutch. This is my first manual, i have over 10K miles and i do screw up shifting every now and then and my clutch is fine. I have launched my car maybe 3 times and never powershifted as i know at least a few people on here do. So unless you are doing something very rough to that clutch you may just have truly gotten a bad clutch.
BTW, yes i do drive my car hard, once i know i have traction in first.
What I want to know is how come I live in michigan and I can't order Stage 2 for my car at any dealership around where I live but I can order only stage 1 and someone from Canada can not onlycan get Stage2 but basically have it installed before anyone here in michigan. Does any one in Michigan in the MAcomb/ Oakland Area know where I can Order this. Sorry about the bitchin.
