Not having time or a ride out to drop it off very far away, I badgered Bill Heard's parts department some more today. The guy in there did a search of the inventory of every US dealership and then gave me a print out with phone numbers of only 4 dealerships that show stock, all in the mid-west. He says if he orders it himself through the dealership that it will take possibly months, but I might be able to call these dealers and talk them into selling me one of these kits. Now common sense tells me if they have a kit, they ordered it for a customer's car. Why do I keep wasting my time with these people?
1-2 psi is not bad at all. The motor is built to run on boost. If we didn't have an innercooler we would have issues but we are all good. Remember supercharged motors aren't going to run for 200,000 miles but it's fun while you have it. The GM 3" pulley isn't all that drastic either. We will see what happens with reliabilty.

GM stage 1 ordered today...
Well both me and my brother Cvenom2122 (redline) ordered the Stage 1 GM kit today.
17801947 Power Upg 3.342 BIN none List 529.95 Net 475.00
He said it will be in in 5 days. Stage 2 was not in yet, and he said they probably wont have it till April. I wanted to go stage 1 now, and later on determin if I wanted to go stage 2.
Anyway we should have them installed next week!
Nucar here in DE had them. Ordered from warehouse.
Can someone tell me how the warranty works on these kits stage 1 independantly of stage 2?

As well im thinking 1-3 psi increae will be no promblem for the engine at all. We will ultimately see how good these GM stg2 kits are but for now, no cares and rip it up!

I know there is always a trade off, Performance for Longevity, Just didnt know if it was bad to constantly boost.
I appreciate all of the input!
I will boost away!

Think the only thing it will be bad for is gas mileage....

I would just tell them the kit is supposed to have everything you need (and IF NOT THEY are the ones that should call GMPP) and IF a gasket WAS neccessary it would be in the kit.
If they say it WAS damaged, make sure you tell them BEFOREHAND to keep the old parts (including the old pulley) AS IT'S YOURS IF YOU PAID FOR A NEW ONE. Should be pretty easy to tell if the damamge was due to mishandling as opposed to a tear in the sealing bead, during seperation (very rare)

Nowhere does it state that the gasket MUST be replaced (as is OFTEN the case in a non-reusable gasket or seal) The dealer is just trying to cover his ass and have the parts, in case it IS damaged.
