You can say you bought it off someone who bought it for their cobalt but couldn't afford the car anymore. There you go.

I highly doubt your dealership will be able to do the reflash even if they wanted to. You need a special number that comes with the stage kit. The tech has to call a hotline and give them that number plus your vin and then they are given another number. They must then use that number to be able to reflash your computer. You might want to just look into getting an Intense tune to go with the mods you have.

They cannot because there is an additional code to put in. Its on the front page of the instructions that come with the stage kits. Im NOT talking about the 5 other ones listed for the different years and cars either. Its a sticker with a serial number specific to your vin number.

This also means you cant buy a used GM Stage kit. The number once used with a VIN can never be used again, it's tied to that VIN number.

I beg to differ. If that vehicle's PCM is flashed back to stock, then the Stage flash can be used on another vehicle. What if the vehicle that has the Stage kit installed gets written off in a crash? GM was very smart in the way they designed this kit. All dealers create a CASE file when the Stage kits are installed for this very reason. This the information I have been given so maybe a GM tech can chime in and either confirm or dispute this info.
